Ubidays 2008

So with another Ubidays wrapped up lets see what caught our eyes.

Tom Clancy's EndWar :

This has been a highly anticipated game for a while now, but after gameplay footage was released that fact was solidified. The ability to control an army with your voice, having the feeling that you are in fact a general is really revolutionary. Most RTS games on consoles, to be honest, are difficult and just do not seem as rewarding as they do on the PC. It makes sense, you have 115 +/- buttons at your immediate disposal helping you keep control of such a large space. The console is limited in that sense, but as EndWar is proving, there is so much more potential to console RTS games. They say the game is expected to be released later this year, around November. So we could see this game trying to tackle the juggernaut that is Gears of War 2 this holiday season. Check out the trailer

Now if that doesn't interest you then check this out.

Prince of Persia :

The new trailer (and the game title) lets us know right from the get go that this is not going to be a continuation. This will be a brand new game, new characters, and new challenges. If you disliked the other prince of persia games (as many people did) then if you're willing have a sneak peak at this new one!
So if that wasn't enough, Ubisoft gave us a couple more views at Highly Anticipated games!

Tom Clancy's H.A.W.X :

Yet another Tom Clancy game. Wait, wait... this ones not a shooter either? O yes, the Tom Clancy franchise is dipping into RTS games, but now Flight Combat games? I'm actually excited to play this one and that is saying a lot since I have never owned a flight simulator game in my life. The graphics look pretty impressive and having a game that is coming from a very strong franchise who is dedicated to their games, keep your eye on this game.
Well Here we go, FAR CRY 2!

Far Cry 2 :

If you're a Far Cry fan then hold onto your seat! The first installment was just absolutely gorgeous playing on your PC at home with max graphics, so it's just a given that this game is going to blow our minds graphics wise, but can the gameplay hold up? The first game started to drag on when they introduced all the monsters to us and had us fighting wave after wave of giant beasts when all we really wanted to do was practice our guerilla warfare tactics on the mercenaries. This game looks as though it will live up to these expectations completely removing the monsters (or so it seems). The basis of this game is simple, Kill The Jackal. Can you do that? I hope so! With an open world environment, allowing you to reach this goal any way you see fit creates a different game for everyone. You could find other people who are willing to help you in your struggle, or you could just go out guns blazing and annhiliate everyone you see. Can these promises live up to all the hype? or will it fall flat? only time will tell. Check out this trailer, you won't be disappointed.
