Age of Conan Review

Well Age of Conan has been out for a little bit now and I feel safe in saying that I can give a decent review.
The Beginning:
When you first start the game you're thrown right into the story, being told to kill this and find that. The story however is very well put together and really brings you into the game more so than any of the other MMO's I've seen. To play the story you actually have to switch out of Multiplayer mode, to singleplayer mode via the workers in the Inn. Once you are in singleplayer mode, the story rushes along with cutscenes and some fascinating events. The story stops, however, once you reach level 20 (or if you want to you can just skip your singleplayer destiny quest).

(Sanctum of the burning souls : Level 35 - 40 instance)
The Rest:
Once you finish this area you are free and clear to explore the world. You will be taken to your homeland and set free in the world. Basically from here on it's your decision what you want to do, but sadly you will have to wait until level 40 to start your trade skills. I know the big thing for me once I reached level 40 was to get a mount. This is extremely difficult to achieve upon reaching level 40, you will most likely not have a mount until level 50 or so when money picks up. There is however a feat untrainer who can help you (for 40c) reset your feat tree incase you misplaced some like me. From here on there doesn't appear to be any switching between singleplayer and multiplayer it is just strictly multiplayer. The combat system is sensational, I am really pleased with the ranged combat as well as the close combat. The different options of attack that you are given really help you not fall asleep while grinding. I noticed that none of the npc's you meet in other cities now do not actually speak unlike the ones from the beginning area. They are all just mute and the words are written on the screen for you to read.

(Field of the Dead)

Verdict?
I am really pleased to say that this game has changed me from a wow addict to an aoc addict. I was looking for something new and it seems that Age of Conan delivers. I guess we will all have to wait and see.
