Blizzard Invitational 2008 could we see Diablo 3?

So the Blizzard WWI(worldwide invitational) is coming up soon and the rumor mill is working overtime. Speculation is rising surrounding the WWI logo which seems to have a picture of Diablo dead center.... Blizzard also has a teaser splash page up on their main site at Blizzard.com. This page is seemingly a layer of ice that is said to crack more and more until the WWI on June 28th, 29th. Now, since diablo is basically the only series blizzard fans are asking for now (since starcraft 2 is on its way) one could only wonder, is it time?

-----|Well let me lay out the facts |-----

Diablo 2 will be celebrating the anniversary of it's release on the closing day of WWI (June 29th). It has been almost 8 years since we have heard anything about Diablo, seriously the expansion Lord of Destruction reached shelves in 2001. Well 8 years if you exclude when Blizzard purchased the Diablo 3 website. Suddenly an Image resembling a hel rune shows up on the teaser flash page today. Whats next?

Diablo was first released in 1997 and has since sold 17 million copies, including the sales from Diablo II. It only makes sense for Blizzard to continue the series. I think it's inevitable, however is it the right time for Blizzard? Since World of Warcraft is still going strong with expansions and now with Starcraft 2 on the way, is this lineup enough for Blizzard to want to hold out?

I'll keep this updated as the rumors and facts come flying in until the WWI is wrapped up.

More information on this can be found at Diablofans.

Left 4 Dead

So the official release date is finally out, November 4th is the day. Valve never ceases to amaze and with this being a PC and Xbox title, we can assume the game will have an outstanding online following. Check out the developer interview at gametrailers.

Call of Duty: World At War

So another call of duty is well underway (2 years in development) and it's a throwback to world war 2. The game is being developed by the same people who worked on Call of Duty 3 (Treyarch) which means the single player will most likely be more intricate this time around. Running off the modern warfare engine brings this game some top quality visuals displayed here in this debut trailer. CodWaW will focus on the Pacific Campaign thus having you, a US soldier, pitted against the Japanese forces while the Soviet Army is invading Germany. This next installment will also bring co-operative play to the series, for 2 players split screen or over the top four player online. Another couple features will be swimming (for the first time ever in a COD game), using a flamethrower, and destructible environments.
What do you guys think about another game being fought in World War 2?
