NCAA Final Four Today!

Pretty excited to watch the final four today, should be in for some good basketball. Memphis vs UCLA is going to be quite the game, even though Memphis is from conference USA, I think they have a darn good chance of winning it.

Slingbox AV

====================================================
Slingbox AV

I recently purchased a Slingbox AV because I kept hearing about how great of a product it is, so I thought I'd try it out for myself.

What is a Slingbox?
The Slingbox AV allows you to connect one media device (such as an dvd player, digital cable box, pvr) to the internet. This lets you watch and control a device depending on the device connected. You just have to install software on any computer you plan on watching television on and you're set. You can even watch television on your smart phone (although I have yet to try this).

Pros:
- Watch television anywhere in the world that has wi-fi
- Super-easy set up, steps through it all with you
- Small design lets you save your space
- Inexpensive

Cons:
- The device can only be used by one person at a time (unless people want to watch the same thing)

8 / 10.
Quality video and sound.
Video stream is steady and not choppy (depends on connection of course)

Army Of Two Review

<><>><><><><><><><><><><><><>
Army Of Two

I found this game to be really well put together. EA seems to have a polish on games that just lets you know right off the bat that they made it. Although many people may dislike EA, they have more than enough resources to produce some top quality games, such as this.

| | |GamePlay | | |
The Gameplay is really smooth and seems to better the gears of war cover system by not having that run duck a move, but instead having you basically just lean on what is in front of you so it feels natural. The "aggro" system they have introduced is explained to you at the very start of the game so there is really not much of a learning curve to it. The entire game you have to continually use this system to flank and take out your enemies before they start flanking you. The AI still has its regular patterns that become noticeable relatively early, but sometimes they do surprise you. Sadly you are only ever able to use one vehicle in the game which is the hovercraft, on only one particular level. That experience is more than enough to make you like but not love the hovercraft, as it is not the funnest machine to control. Parachuting is another part of the game, which you end up doing twice. Shooting is rather difficult since you are tandem jumping, any movement from the one in control of the chute makes it shakey.

| Single |
Single player is actually fun considering the game was made for co-operative play. Your partners AI is lacking from time to time however, the occasional grenade right at you or in a corner should be expected. You get to command your teammate around with such things as "rush forward" or "hold position". The neat thing about these commands is that you can single tap or double tap the command, which switches between telling him to attract the "aggro" (which turns the symbol red) or laying low and letting you handle the aggro (which turns the symbol blue).

| Co-op |
Co-op is where this game takes off, something about running and gunning with literally "pimped" out golden weapons is exciting to me. The same things apply to single player, and you can actually still shout out the commands, but good luck getting your co-op buddy to listen to them. You can swap weapons between characters as well as swapping the occasional high five or air guitar session. A solid co-operative experience.

| | Cinematics | |
The cinematics are amazing in their own, one scene in particular has me wondering if the mountains in the background were real. This is where you can tell that it's EA.

/\/\/\ Overall /\/\/\

All in all, this game is solid and I had plenty of fun with it, be it singleplayer or co-op. I'd recommend this to any shooter fans out there, if you don't already have it, maybe you can find it somewhere cheaper now, but pick up a copy.

I give this game an 8.5 / 10
Gameplay 8.0
Graphics 9.0
Audio 8.5
